Advancing State Policy for Noncredit Mobility

SHEEO’s current initiative that builds upon Noncredit Mobility Academy insights, draws from SHEEO agency and policy field experts, and establishes new resources and networks to improve the national landscape of noncredit educational policy and action.

Building on the recent work of the Noncredit Mobility Academy (NMA), through this project SHEEO is engaging state postsecondary agencies and their stakeholders in a nationwide effort to share knowledge, align data, academic policy, financing, and communications, and develop practical strategies for improving noncredit-to-degree pathways. By strengthening collaboration across these areas, the project will lay the groundwork for more consistent noncredit mobility data, processes, and policies; provide states with better insight into how noncredit education connects to labor market needs and the potential to improve state economic goals; and, most importantly, help noncredit learners access clearer pathways to prosperity.
